Track and Field
Summer Mini League Track and Field
The Summer Mini-League series encompasses all the usual track and field events,
although distances are adjusted for the younger athletes, so there is an 80m sprint
instead of 100m and 150m instead of 200m, etc. Athletes can choose up to 3 events
plus a relay. These are very much bring the family and a picnic events. The more
competitors we have, the more points we score…simples!
So if you’re an U11, U13 or U15 athlete and enjoy running, jumping and throwing
come and join Team RAC.
When: There are 4 fixtures in the summer of 2022 – 23rd April, 1st May, 28th May and
16th July
Where: Nottinghamshire – Bingham x2, Newark, Mansfield
Ages: U11 to U15
Entry Cost: Covered by the club
Team Manager: Colin Wootton, Martin Findlay, Nikki McEachran. Contact [email protected]
Youth Development League
The YDL is a prestigious national competition giving athletes the opportunity and experience to compete against other high-level athletes in their age group from clubs in the East Midlands. It is a track and field event offering a range of running, throwing and jumping events. Athletes can choose up to 3 events plus a relay. RAC are competing in the lower age group (LAG) matches for U13 and U15 athletes. Where we have more requests for places than we have capacity, we will revert to Power of 10 for place allocation and will try and accommodate as many athletes’ requests as possible.
Upper age group athletes (U17 and U20) can compete in the newly formed Nottinghamshire County Development League (see below).
When: There are 3 Fixtures for the LAG in the summer of 2022 – 8th May, 21st May and 3rd July
Where: Across the Midlands, with fixtures held at Burton, Derby and Mansfield
Ages: U13 to U15
Entry Cost: Covered by the club
Team Managers: LAG – Kennie-Marie Miller. Contact [email protected]

Nottinghamshire County Development League
The new Nottinghamshire Development League is open to all athletes in the U17 age group (School year 10 and 11) and above. For those senior and master athletes within the club this is the ideal opportunity to compete locally. All masters will use the appropriate weights/hurdle for their age group instead of the usual senior weights/heights.
You are more than welcome to compete in more than one event.
U17 athletes are allowed to compete in 3 events plus a relay.
U20’s may enter 5 events (or 4 events plus a relay)
Seniors and Masters can enter as many events as they wish.
This is also an exciting opportunity for anyone wishing to have a go at officiating under the supervision of some experience officials from the county. If you could spare a couple of hours on the day we would be grateful for your help and you can try field/timekeeping/track judging. Should you wish to then go onto qualify as a level 1 judge then this all counts towards your experience.
WITHOUT officials there are no competitions !!
When: There are 4 fixtures
