Mini League Cross Country
Winter is a time for muddy fun. RAC competes in the Nottinghamshire Mini League Cross-Country series and has experienced huge success in the event. Distances vary from 1.5km (under 11’s) to 4km (under 15’s), so there isn't a huge amount of hanging around. You can just turn up, run and if you wish you can be away very quickly.
When: Five fixtures between October and February each year. One fixture per month.

Nottinghamshire County Cross Country Championships
County cross country championships are an important part of the winter calendar and we would encourage athletes to make the most of this competitive opportunity.
When: January each year
Where: Nottinghamshire, typically Wollaton Park or Derbyshire, typically Shipley Park. Rotates each year.
Ages: U13 to seniors
Entry Cost: Covered by the Athlete. Athletes to self-register
North Midlands Cross Country League
The North Midlands series runs from October to January with races on Saturdays involving teams from across the midlands. The league offers a higher standard of competition than the Mini League XC. However, don’t let that put you off. ALL RAC athletes (INCLUDING ADULTS- MALE AND FEMALE!) are welcome to attend and the club will cover the cost of entries.
When: Saturdays from 11am
Where: Derby: Markeaton Park, Corby: Glebe Park, Heanor: Shipley Park, Nottingham: Wollaton Park
Ages: U11 to seniors
Entry Cost: Covered by the club
East Midlands Cross Country League
The League involves a series of 4 races on Sunday mornings running from Nov-March involving teams from the Nottingham and Derby area. Whilst the distances tend to be shorter and the competition a little less fierce than the North Mids league the courses are a bit more challenging…..great muddy fun! Again, the club will cover the cost of entry.
When: Sunday mornings. Race starts at 11am. Four fixtures between November and March
Where: Holme Pierrepont, Bramcote Park, Colwick Woods & Trent Meadows
Ages: 15+

National Cross Country Relay Championships
When: First Saturday of November
Where: Berry Hill Park, Mansfield
Ages: 13+
Entry Cost: Covered by the Athlete. Athletes to self-register via the organiser's website
