1) Team Managers select relay teams, usually a few days in advance of the event. 2) Selection will normally be based upon performance, with the fastest athletes in the first team, the next fastest in the second team and so on. 3) Recent results, current form, historical results, head-to-heads, proven combinations and other factors may be used to assess performance. 4) Athlete commitment to the club will also be considered by the team managers as a method when selecting athletes to represent the club in relay teams. This will take into account regular attendance at training, involvement in other RAC competitions, athlete behaviour and involvement and commitment to all things RAC provides and does. 5) At the discretion of the Team Manager, alternative criteria may be used to select one or more relay teams, particularly where the number of athletes exceeds the spaces available - for example where there is a limit of teams allowed. In these cases, athletes may be selected based on their commitment or participation, those that have not previously had the opportunity, etc. 6) Feedback or questions on relay team selection should be addressed to the Team Manager only, who may then choose to alter their selection (or not). 7) The Team Manager’s decision is final. There is no further appeal process.
Please ensure your children are aware of the above policy or you as an athlete have read and understood it.
