NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE MATCH 3 - Sunday 26th June - ATHLETES ENTRY

    Date: Sunday 26th June
    Venue: Berry Hill Track, Mansfield
Time:  10:30 start for field events
                11:30 start for track events

The new Nottinghamshire Development League is open to all athletes in the U17 age group (School year 10 and 11) and above.  For those senior and master athletes within the club this is the ideal opportunity to compete locally.  All masters will use the appropriate weights/hurdle for their age group instead of the usual senior weights/heights.
You are more than welcome to compete in more than one event.

U17s are restricted to entering no more than three events plus one relay.
U20s may compete in any five events. U17 and U20s may compete alongside each other and seniors / masters in amalgamated events.
Women’s races will be run before Men’s races.
Men and Women may compete alongside each other in amalgamated events.

    Relay and Parlaaf Rules:
5km parlaaf - there are 2 runners in a team:
Runner 1 starts in the middle of the back straight and runs 200m and hands over to Runner 2, in the middle of the home straight.
While Runner 2 is doing 200m, Runner 1 must cross the centre of the infield back to his/her original starting position, and must get there in the time it takes Runner 2 to do 200m. Runner 2 then hands back to Runner 1.
Whilst Runner 1 is doing the next 200m leg Runner 2 must cross the infield back to his/her original starting position in readiness to receive the baton. This process continues until 5km has been completed (13 X 200m for Runner 1 and 12 x 200m for Runner2).
If athletes are of equal ability and run 200m in say, 40s, then the runner recovering has to cross the infield in no longer than 40s to be in position for the next handover

PLEASE NOTE Parking will be in the Coal Authority NG18 4RG. This is only 50m from the main park entrance on Litchfield Lane. This is only 50m from the main park gate entrance. There will be signage in place to direct you.

OFFICIATING - COME AND HAVE A GO!!! - see separate entry form.
This is also an exciting opportunity for anyone wishing to have a go at officiating under the supervision of some experience officials from the county. If you could spare a couple of hours on the day we would be grateful for your help and you can try field/timekeeping/track judging. Should you wish to then go onto qualify as a level 1 judge then this all counts towards your experience.
WITHOUT officials there are no competitions !!

IF YOU COMPETED IN MATCH 1 OR MATCH 2 THEN PLEASE BRING YOUR NUMBER FROM THIS EVENT

Closing date for entries is Friday 24th June 2022
